Join us at Kliks as we welcome back one of our favourite DJs, Mr. Jeremy P. Caulfield. Founder and boss of the scandalously good Dumb-Unit label, he's launched the careers of acclaimed minimal techno alumni like Butane, Lee Curtiss, Jake Fairley and Sweet N Candy, while also releasing a string of club hits in his trademark 'stalking' techno style.
As a DJ, Jeremy regularly rocks everywhere from Berlin's Watergate to Fabric, and we're delighted to have him back to tear it up at Kliks once again...he's joined, as ever, by residents Lee Smith and Mark Lerman.
Our first party for 2008 is another Kliks exclusive, this time from Cologne's princess of melodic minimal techno, Ada.
Her 2005 album 'Blondie' was one of electronic music's most acclaimed releases of that year, and its success led to her performing a legendary set at Sonar the following Summer. Since then, she's released a string of warmly lo-fi techno gems on labels like Areal and Sven Vath's Cocoon, while her distinctive style has touched remixes of Tracey Thorn, Booka Shade, Alex Smoke and International Pony.
Ada's analogue-based live set regularly brings the house down all over Europe, but her UK appearances are extremely rare - don't miss the chance to catch her in action alongside Kliks residents Lee Smith and Mark Lerman.

For our fourth birthday, we're going back to our roots with an exclusive UK show from PAN/TONE, aka Toronto native Sheldon Thompson, undisputed king of heavy-rocking, no-nonsense club goodness. Flying in the face of today's endless surge of lifeless Topshop techno, Pan/Tone's sound is as raw as the finest sashimi, and as far as we're concerned, equally as fresh.
Taking his cue from the mono-techno minimalism of Wolfgang Voigt's legendary Studio 1 project and basically sticking a nuclear launcher up its arse, he's also flirted with punk vibes as Sid Le Rock, and smart electronics as Gringo Grinder. But it's his Pan/Tone guise that's made him one of the scene's most celebrated producers and live-acts of the last five years, with releases on Sender, Sub-Static and his own excellent Cereal/Killers label consistently reducing both audiences and speaker stacks to rubble the world over.

This month we welcome back a regular favourite at Kliks, Mr. Alex Smoke. One of the most critically acclaimed British techno artists to emerge in the last few years, Alex's near-classical approach to composition - as evidenced on his excellent albums 'Incommunicado' and 'Paradolia' - sets him head and shoulders above the vast glut of lame laptop minimal efforts, and his rocking live show is guaranteed to tear down the house once again.
As an added bonus, Alex will be excusively launching new tracks from his forthcoming label Hum & Haw on the night - we've heard a few bits already, and it sounds like he's changing direction in some rather interesting ways...don't miss...

As a warm up for Sonar, we’re honoured to present the return of possibly our all-time favourite DJ, Tobias Thomas. The original Kompakt DJ, and indeed the first DJ ever to play at Kliks back in 2003, he ran the label’s weekly club night in Cologne for eight years along side his best friend, Michael Mayer, and rather than churn out average tracks to get more gigs, he’s stuck with what he’s good at instead. As his three mix CDs for Kompakt prove, he’s very good indeed – from pristine pop-ambience to stomping Cologne techno, his sets are renowned for turning the bland minimal stereotype on its head by playing music with genuine heart, feeling and character. We think he's great, and we reckon that if you haven’t heard him yet, you will too. Don’t miss.
